400 sounds
We really focused on the quality of the samples used in RetroSyn. We’ve created a lot of sounds ranging from delayed bells to trancy arps. Every sound is customizable to be able to shape to your needs. RetroSyn contains the most arps we have put in any VST so far and they very easy to use. The interface is easy to navigate with everything you need on either the basic or advanced page. There is a fully funcional ASDR on the basic page as shown in the clip to the left. You can also save a custom sound using the save preset button to save your own filters or arps you’ve made. There is also a favorites tab to select your favorite sounds. The favorites tab is the star icon in on top left side, every preset has a small star next to it which is used to add the preset to the favorites tab. RetroSyn comes stock with 400 presets, but you can create endless presets using the arp sequencer and xy filters in combination. You can also make pulsating synths and pads by messing around with the xy pad and filters.
Fully Functional Arpeggiator
RetroSyn features a fully functional 16 step arpeggiator that can be switched on at anytime. It is very simple and easy to use, and also can be used on any sound. All you have to do is navigate to the advanced tab in the top left and click the arp switch button to activate the arp. If you want to change the velocity of the steps you just need to right clip and drag across as shown on the left. It is also very easy to change the tempo and rhythm of the arp pattern by adjusting the tempo knob. The octave knob controls the octave range played throughout the arp pattern.
Built in Effects
RetroSyn comes with built in reverb, delay, and filters to modulate and make every single sound unique. Every preset has been customized and tweaked with the effects to be ready to use. We’ve included the basic effects that can take a dry sound and turn it into a pulsating synth. The filters on advanced page won’t work unless you have the button above the XY pad on the basic page switched to “on”. The XY pad changes the way the effects interact with each other completely changing the sound effortlessly from the basic page without having to go to the advanced. You can also still deep dive and customize more from the advanced page to change the filter type or delay rate
